Powerhouse Potion
Nearly everyone has some form of inflammation due to toxins we take in from processed foods and other elements in our environment. Turmeric is a superfood for combating inflammation. Ginger soothes the digestive system, celery balances the body’s ph levels, cucumber promotes hydration, spinach is iron-rich, and lemon adds vitamin C and flavor. Optional cayenne tincture adds more spice and is known to improve metabolism.
I N G R E D I E N T S
About 1 cup roughly chopped turmeric root (no need to peel)
About 1/2 cup roughly chopped fresh ginger root (no need to peel)
6 stalks celery, cut in large chunks
2 cucumbers (no need to peel)
1 cup spinach
1 lemon
Optional: 2 drops cayenne tincture
D I R E C T I O N S
Using a juicer or high-powered blender, add all ingredients and process to liquid.
If using a blender, you will need to filter the puree through a fine sieve into a large bowl, gently stirring the puree in the sieve until most most of the liquid has seeped into the bowl.
If using a juicer, you still may prefer to filter the juice using a fine sieve to reduce pulp from the ginger.
Keep juice refrigerated. This juice is best to drink within 2 days.
