Matcha Latte with Meringue
I N G R E D I E N T S
1 egg white OR 1/4 cup heavy cream
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
2 tsp matcha powder
2 cups milk of choice
2 tsp sugar
D I R E C T I O N S
In a stand mixer or with a hand mixer, whip the egg white on high until fluffy, stiff peaks form. Alternatively, you can whip up 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream. Add the vanilla and whip for 5 more seconds to combine.
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, thoroughly combine the milk, matcha powder, and sugar. Bring to a simmer, whisk again to distribute the dissolved sugar, and remove from heat. Let cool.
Pour the matcha into a mug and spoon the meringue or whipped cream on top.
